Employee Attendance - New Display

There are two main displays within the attendance module for you to view attendance. 


The first display is called Individual Attendance, in which you will be able to view the attendance of an individual for a selected period of time. 

The second view is called Daily Attendance, this view provides you with the attendance of a group of employees on a specific day.


Step 1

To access the attendance screen, follow steps 1-4 as shown below:

  • (3) Daily Attendance
  • (4) Individual Attendance



Step 2 (Daily Attendance)


Once you have selected Daily Attendance, you will be brought to the page as shown below.


Daily attendance shows the attendance of a specific day with date selectors (5), you will be able to view attendance on a different day.


Right below the date selector (5), you will find a summary of attendance-related statistics (6) for the employees displayed below it (14)


The search bar (7) underneath it is where you can look up specific Employees within the list.


Beneath the search bar is where you will find a list of employees and a summary of their daily attendance next to it.


Here, you have the option to click on the list (14) & it will bring you to a more detailed view of that day's attendance (continue to Step 3).

To provide you with more flexibility on how you may view your employee attendance data, there is a set of tools to help you customize this view:


  1. Filter By (8): This will open up a tiny selection box as shown below, in which you will be able to filter employees based on their attendance status. For this, you have the option to choose one or multiple filters by clicking on it.
  2. Group By (9): This allows you to group employees displayed into a meaningful grouping for more clarity when viewing. You may also define up to 2 levels of grouping as shown below.
  3. View Option (10): This provides you with the ability to choose what columns to display within the employee listing. You may also toggle on/ off and even change the order of the column by moving the selection up & down by holding the icon next to each field name.
  4. Export (11): This export feature allows you to export the employee list that you have filtered using functions 8, 9, 10, and 13 into an Excel Sheet.
  5. Display Number (12): This field allows you to define how many employees you would like to load each time you scroll through the listing.
  6. Advance Filter (13): This column allows you to add general filters to your employee list.

The status column within the listing tells you important information about the Attendance Exception of a particular employee on a specific day, the status and definition are as shown below:



Step 3 (Individual Attendance)


Once you have selected Individual Attendance, you will be redirected to the screen as shown below. 


Individual Attendance shows you a specific employee's attendance within a period of time, with employee selector (5) displayed on the left, you will be able to select which employee (6) you want to view by adding filters (7).


Next to the employee selector, you will find the attendance of the selected employee. You can change the period of attendance by clicking the date selector(9), and next to it are three additional options that let you customize the attendance list. 

Here are the options:

  1. Filter By (10): this will open up a tiny selection box as shown below. You will be able to filter employees based on their attendance status, with the option to choose one or multiple filters by clicking on them.
  2. Group By (11): This will allow you to group the employee displayed into a meaningful grouping for better clarity. You may define up to 2 levels of grouping as shown below.
  3. View Option (12): This provides you with the ability to choose what columns to display within the employee listing. You may toggle on/ off and change the order of the column by moving the selection up & down by holding the icon next to each field name.


The options are shown below and you will find a summary of attendance-related statistics (6) for your selected period. 


If you would like to view the details of a specific day, proceed to click on the specific record (13):



Step 4 (Detailed View)


Once you have chosen a specified record, you will be redirected to the page as shown below. This page gives you a detailed view of the employee you have selected and all the attendance details in one page.


  1. Clock Data (16): This section provides you with all sets of clocking entries this employee has recorded throughout the chosen date.
  2. Raw Clock Data (17): This is an optional display for you to view the original clock data that has been recorded within the system, if you have modified the clock data, this raw clock data will not be affected.
  3. Lateness/ Early-out/ Absent (18): This is a display that provides you with details of any Attendance on a specific day.
  4. Overtime (19): This gives you a summary of overtime conducted by this employee with a summary of their overtime details.
  5. Allowance (20): This provides you with a list of allowances that this employee is entitled to for the work they carried out on this specific day.


If you would like to include remarks or edit information on this specific day, you may click on Edit (22) located in the top right corner of the screen:



Step 5 (Edit Attendance Information)


Once you have clicked on Edit, you will be redirected to the screen as shown below.

Under Clock Data, you will see Add Clock Data (23), where you can add new records to the rows below or you may choose to edit existing records.


Next, under Attendance Exception (25), you have the option to choose a reason for this exception and include a remark.


As for Overtime, you will notice two controls displayed under Approved Overtime Hour Calculation Method (25) - where you can define how the system will calculate the Approved overtime hours. There is an option for the system to automatically calculate or you can choose to manually overwrite it and key in the hours on the available field (27)


Next to it, Overtime Pay Mode (26) is where you can change how this Overtime will be compensated to the employee.


If you would like to change your employee's work shift for this specific day, you may click on the icon on (28) to toggle the shift selection drawer.


Once you are done, click on Save (29) to finalize your changes。
