If an employee's clocking or overtime appears under a different date than expected, check the following:
| Issue | What to Check |
|---|---|
| Clocking is captured under the next day or paired incorrectly | Manual Earliest In and Latest Out |
| Overtime appears under the previous shift date | Nextday Overtime |
| Settings were changed but existing attendance still shows the previous result | Batch Process > Reset Clock |
1. Check Manual Earliest In and Latest Out
If an employee works beyond the shift end time, especially when the work continues past midnight, the clocking may be captured under the next day or paired incorrectly.
Check whether the Manual Earliest In and Latest Out setting is configured to cover the employee's expected working hours.

2. Check Nextday Overtime
If the employee's shift crosses midnight and they continue working overtime after the shift ends, check whether Nextday Overtime is enabled in the Overtime Request.
When enabled, the overtime hours are recorded under the original shift date, instead of the calendar date when the overtime was worked.
For example:
- Assigned Shift: 11:00 PM Monday – 3:00 AM Tuesday
- Overtime: 3:00 AM – 7:00 AM Tuesday
With Nextday Overtime enabled, the overtime from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM Tuesday is recorded under Monday, the original shift date.

3. Recalculate the Attendance Records
If the Manual Earliest In and Latest Out setting was changed after the attendance records were generated, run Batch Process > Reset Clock to recalculate the attendance records using the updated setting.
