Question: It appears that some of the past records are greyed out and I cannot make changes to them. As you can see in the picture below, the sample dates 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th, and 11th are greyed out. How can I edit these past records?
Answer: The past dates are greyed out because the shifts on the said days have been approved. To illustrate this, below is a screenshot of the employee's Individual Attendance records available under the left icon > Attendance System > Attendance > Individual Attendance. As you can see, the dates 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th, and 11th have already been approved - refer to the Status column. Follow the below steps on how to edit the greyed-out records.
Step 1
Go to the Individual Attendance module as explained in the previous paragraph by clicking on your left icon > Attendance > Attendance > Individual.
Step 2
Select the employee and the date range. Double click on one of the greyed-out dates that we want to make the changes.
Step 3
In this example, I'm selecting the past date 1st January 2021. Click on the Edit button on the top right of the screen, as shown in the screenshot.
Step 4
The Edit button will now turn to be the +Action button. Click on it and then on the UnApprove Shift button that will now appear beneath the +Action button.
Step 5
The previously approved shift will now be unapproved.
Step 6
Go back to the Duty Roster module by clicking on the left icon > Attendance > Attendance > Duty Roster. You can now see the previously greyed out past date 1st January 2020 is now editable and is no longer greyed out.
