This article explains how claim group's Limit Refresh month works for age-based claim groups by using age filter.
To learn how to set up a claim group, refer to Creating Claim Group.

Logic 1: Claim Group Entitlement
Logic 2: Explain Limit Refresh Month
For illustration, the claim groups are configured as follows:
| Claim Group | Age Range |
|---|---|
| Below 40 Years Old | 0 - 39 |
| 40 Years Old and Above | 40 - 99 |
The system determines an employee's claim group based on their age.
Logic 1: Claim Group Entitlement
When an employee reaches the next age range, the system will automatically assign the employee to the applicable claim group.
Example
Employee: Rina
- Date of Birth: 1 July 1986
- Turns 40 years old on: 1 July 2026
Before 1 July 2026, Rina belonged to the Below 40 Years Old claim group.
On 1 July 2026, Rina turns 40 and automatically becomes eligible for the 40 Years Old and Above claim group. In Worksy, a new claim group will be generated on 1 August 2026, which is the 1st day of next month for the above 40yrs claim group.
Note: If you do not see the claim group display, this might be due to the limit refresh month is same as or after the employee's birth month.
Example: If you set the limit refresh month as January and the employee's birth month is also in January, you might need to generate claim entitlement manually, refer to How to Generate Claim Entitlement
Logic 2: Explain Limit Refresh Month

The configured Limit Refresh determines:
- The claim period for the claim group.
- Whether the entitlement record is displayed in the Individual Record screen.
i. Claim Period Example
If the Limit Refresh Month is set to June, the claim period will be: 01/06/2026 - 31/05/2027

When the next refresh month is reached, the claim limit will refresh, and a new claim period will begin.
ii. Individual Record Display Example
When an employee enters a new age-based claim group, the entitlement record will only be displayed if the configured Limit Refresh Month is earlier than the employee's birth month.
Example:
Employee's birth month in July
| Limit Refresh on | Result |
|---|---|
| June | Individual record is displayed |
| July | Individual record is NOT displayed |
| August | Individual record is NOT displayed |
- If the claim group's Limit Refresh is on June, the entitlement record is displayed.
- If the claim group's Limit Refresh is on July or August, the entitlement record is not displayed.
