Acknowledgement is a unique activity type in Worksy LMS module. It is usually placed at the start of a course so that learners confirm they have read and understood the information before continuing with the rest of the course content.
With Acknowledgement, you can:
- Write and format content to inform learners about important notices.
- Upload an attachment (only PDF files are supported).
- Control whether learners can download the uploaded attachment.
- Add agreement details (mandatory).
- Optionally require learners to type their first and last name or to provide a signature.
How to Add Acknowledgement Activity
Step 1
Every course must have at least one topic. After adding a topic, click Add Activity.
Step 2
In the activity menu that slides in from the right, click Acknowledgement.
Step 3
Fill in the fields:
- Activity Title
- Status: Active or Inactive (inactive activities will not appear to learners)
- Content: Use the text editor tools to add your instructions or information.
Step 4
Upload a PDF attachment (only one is allowed).
- Tick the box if you want to Allow recipients to download the attachment.
Agreement Details (Mandatory):
- Write the agreement statement that learners must acknowledge (e.g., “I hereby confirm I have read and understood …”).
Optional:
Require learners to enter their First & Last Name.
Require learners to provide a Signature.
Step 5
Click Save at the top of the page.
Once saved, the acknowledgement will appear as an activity under the topic in your course content.
Learner's View
When learners open the acknowledgement, they will see your content, attachment, and the agreement details.
Learners must complete all acknowledgement requirements (name entry or signature if enabled) before the “Acknowledge” button becomes clickable.
