Fix “Cannot Select a Hire Date That Is After Any Progression Record” Error

Modified on Wed, 6 Aug at 11:26 PM

In Worksy, the Hire Date must always be the earliest progression in an employee’s record.

If there are any existing progressions dated earlier than the intended hire date, the system will not allow the change to go through.

This is because, logically, an employee cannot have any job-related changes or records (such as promotions, transfers, or salary updates) before they are officially hired. The system enforces this to maintain an accurate and consistent employment history.

Solution

Step 1
Review and delete any progression records dated before the intended Hire Date.
  • Pencil - To edit the details of the progression record
  • Dustbin - To delete the progression record

Step 2

Once those records are removed, you should be able to amend the hire date successfully.
