Creating Competency Rating Scale

The competency Scale or Rating screen is where you will maintain the different scales you used to measure competency or other measurable frameworks (e.g. culture)


Step 1

Navigate from the left and as shown in the image below:



Step 2

Once you have click on the designated menu button, you will arrive on the page below, the list(4) on the left is where you find the scale that is created/available within your Competency Scale Library, the scale setup(5) is where you find the scale setup for each template.


To create a new scale, click on Add New(6)



Step 3

Once you notice the Save button on the top right corner, this means you are on Edit/Add New mode.  Start by entering the field available from 7 to 10 below, and click on the '+' icon(11) to add an additional line. Once you are done enter a name for this scale at 12 and click Save on the top right corner to save your changes.


  • Rate - This is the rating that will be displayed to the Appraisee & Appraiser when they are filling up the appraisal form
  • Description - This is the description that provides meaning to a rating.
  • Rating Range - This allows you to define the range of ratings that determines the score received for this rating.
  • Score - This allows you to define the score that will be calculated based on the rating given.
