OT Formula in Payroll :

Navigate to Settings> Payroll Policy  > General > Overtime Tab

As you can see above the general formula is Basic Salary + Earning. However, for Earning there is a condition that needs to follow in order to include earning in the OT calculation.

Step 1:

Navigate to Settings(1) > Payroll(2) > Payroll Items(3) > Earning Tab(4)

Step 2

Once you are at the Payroll Item screen, click on the Earning tab.

Choose any allowance that you wish to add to the ORP calculation.

By adding to the ORP calculation, this allowance will be taken into the OT formula

Example:

1) If allowance /earning was ticked add to ORP calculation

Basic salary: RM 2000

Earning - Allowance: RM 150

OT Rate: 1.5 hours

Ot Hours : 3 hours

Calculation: 2000+150 / 208 *1.5*3 = RM 46.51

2) If allowance/earning does not tick add to ORP calculation

Basic salary: RM 2000

Earning - Allowance: RM 150

OT Rate: 1.5 hours

Ot Hours : 3 hours

Calculation: 2000/208*1.5*3 = RM 43.27
