The purpose of the Goal Library is to create a centralized list of goals that can later be assigned to employees during the appraisal process. This ensures consistency when evaluating performance across different individuals or departments.
Before setting up the Goal Library, ensure that the Goal Rating Scale has already been created. The rating scale configured earlier will be used in this setup.
Step 1
Go to Settings (a) > Performance (b) > Goal Library (c).

Step 2
Click Add New to create a new Goal Set, or select an existing Goal Set from the list to edit.

Step 3

Enter the required details:
- Goal Set Name
- Goal Set Label
There are two tabs available:
- Goal
- Description
Goal Tab
This tab is where you define the list of goals and their weightage.
- Click on Level 1 and enter the goal name.
- Click the + button to add additional goal rows.
- Enter the Weightage for each goal.
Step 4
Description Tab
On this tab:
- The left panel displays the list of goals you have created. You may toggle between goals to configure them individually.
- The right panel allows you to define the detailed settings for the selected goal.
Configure the following:

a. Goal Type
Define how the goal will be measured:
- Numeric
- Date
- Boolean (Yes/No)
- Range
b. Activate Milestone
Purpose of Milestones:
Milestones break a goal into measurable checkpoints for structured progress tracking.
Toggle on to activate milestone(s) for the goal.
To add more milestones:
- Click + (applies to all rating rows).
- Click – to remove.
c. Scoring Method
Select MANUAL as the scoring method.
With Manual scoring, the appraisee updates their goal achievement and progress percentage (%).
Note: Auto method is no longer supported following the latest system enhancement. All goals must be evaluated using Manual Scoring for a simpler and more user-friendly update and evaluation process.
d. Rating Scale
Select the Rating Scale that will be used to measure this goal. The available options are based on the Goal Rating Scales that have been created earlier.
Once selected, the rating levels will appear on screen. You may enter descriptions to clearly define what each rating represents.
e. Description
Describe the goal in detail to provide better understanding for the appraisee of their goals.
Step 6 (Optional if Milestone is activated)
When Milestone is activated, an additional milestone row will appear under each rating scale.

When enabled, enter the milestone name, and define the required condition and metrics.
Repeat for all rating scales where applicable.
Step 7
After completing all setups, click Save at the top right corner of the screen to save your changes.
Important: If this goal library is already used in an Appraisal Form Template, any changes made will not automatically reflect. You must reset the appraisal form for the changes to take effect.
