How To Use Search Filter in Worksy

Modified on Mon, 4 Aug at 6:58 PM

As an administrator, you'll often need to search for employees by name, ID, department, or other categories while navigating the system for daily operations or troubleshooting.

When accessing the employee directory, you’ll notice different tabs at the top of the list. These tabs determine which group of employees you can view based on your access level:

  • All – Shown only if you have “View All” permission
(Access Right > Employee > Directory > View All)
  • My Staff – Appears if you are a reporting manager
  • Team – Appears if you're a Team Admin

If you want to create a Team, please refer to Creating Team in Worksy

To help you work more efficiently, Worksy provides a Filter function that allows you to narrow down employee records based on specific criteria. It's located under the employee's list when search tab is open.

This article will guide you on how to use and understand the Filter function in Worksy.

  • At the bottom left of the screen, you’ll see the “Filter” tab.
  • On the right side of this tab, you’ll find a "Clear All" option and a down arrow.
  • Click the arrow to open the Filter tab.

Open Filter Tab

When the Filter tab is open, all filter categories (Company, Department, Branch, etc.) are shown by default.

When a filter is applied, a blue dot will appear in the category box:

By default, the system automatically applies filters under Employment Status to show only active employees in the list:

✔ Probation

✔ Confirmed

This ensures that the employee directory remains focused on currently active staff.

If you need to search for resigned employees:

  • Open the Filter tab and tick "Resigned" under Employment Status. (Resigned employee accounts are still stored in the system for record purposes)

Remove Filters or Close Filter Tab

  • To remove all applied filters: click "Clear All".
  • To close the Filter tab: click the “X” icon next to Clear All.
