Guide to E-Filing ( e-BE)

1) Navigate to the E-Filling Website



Navigate to https://mytax.hasil.gov.my/ and click on the e-Daftar to register your details.




2) Download Manual Guide


Download the manual guide as shown in the image below to walk you through this process.





3) Acknowledgment Receipt


Once submit your details, the system will prompt Acknowledgment receipt. Please bring this receipt to the nearest LHDN branch to get a first-time login PIN to your online e-filing account




4) Login to My Tax


With the provided first-time login PIN, log into MyTax. Follow further instructions to set up a new password.




3) Start E-Filling


Navigate to the top-left corner of the screen and click on the 'ezHasil services' menu, then choose 'e-filing'


Once the new page loads, select the appropriate income tax form for the year.


For the employee who doesn't own a business => e-BE




4) Update your particulars


Review your personal details and make changes if necessary



Fill up incentive details if any. 



 


5) Provide your Income Details


Fill up your statutory income ( all the income received during your employment) and double-check statutory payments ( MTD, SOCSO, EIS, and KWSP).


You may counter-check your EA Form figures provided by your employer for the past year. 





 6) Tax Relief


This is the section where you can claim tax relief for the expenses that you have made for last year which is liable for tax relief.

Ensure to keep all the receipts for the expenses that liable for tax relief for up 7 years

8. Check the total taxes ( Underpaid or overpaid)

After filling up the figures in the tax relief section, the system will calculate again the total tax you should have paid in the last year.


Underpaid: If the total tax is more than the tax you have paid for last year, you need to pay the balance amount to the LHDN 


Overpaid: If the total tax is less than the tax you paid last year, then the LHDN will pay you back the excess amount based on the bank details you have filled up in the previous sections 






9. Acknowledgement


The final step is to acknowledge that all the information provided is true.
