Purpose: Breakdown of available clocking methods on Worksy
However, If you're currently managing the available clocking methods for individual staff & schedules, you can refer to think user guide link: How to manage which clocking method staff is able to use?
Available Clocking Method:
1. Web Browser Clocking
- This method allows your user to directly clock in using their Laptop/ Mobile browser, this method can also capture a selfie & their current location - We recommend using Google Chrome for the best compatibility.
2. Standard Mobile App Clocking
- This method requires your user to download the mobile app from the designated app store for iOS & Android. If it's already been toggled on under the designated schedule when the staff access Worksy Mobile App, this clocking option will be available to them.
a) Offline Clocking with Mobile App
- This method is similar to clocking with the mobile app, the difference is that this option toggles on in the schedule. Users will be able to continue clocking in even if there is no local network or internet access. The clocking data will automatically be synced back into Worksy's Database as soon as their smartphone is connected to the internet.
b) Bluetooth Beacon Clocking with Mobile App
- This method requires you a to have Bluetooth Beacon setup in the clocking location. When your user is within the proximity of the Bluetooth Beacon, the clocking option will show up on the mobile app for them to clock in.
- If you are interested in setting up Bluetooth Beacons as a clocking option, please inquire with our customer support.
c) Integrated Device Clocking
- There is also an option to link the external device automatically to Worksy. However, this needs an integration that is a chargeable service from our side.
(a) Clock Data Integration
(b) Web API Integration - not available for all devices
(c) CSV Integration
- If you are interested in setting up/ purchasing external clocking devices as a clocking option, please inquire with our customer support.
