Defining Targetted Competency Rating

The purpose of Competency Target is for your organization to define targetted work competencies for specific positions/job grades/job categories, that are currently in your organization.


Step 1

To start defining Competency Target, navigate to the left menu and follow the step below to the Competency Framework page.



Step 2

Once you are on the Competency Framework page, you will be able to find a list of competencies template that was already created previously. If this page is empty, it means there is no existing Competency Template in your system, and you will need to create one over here.


Start by choosing the Competency Template that you would like to define targets for by clicking on it.



Step 3

Once you have clicked on one of the templates, you will be brought to the page below, click on Edit (4) on the top right corner.



Step 4

Once you have clicked on Edit, you will notice the dimension option (5) located on the left side of the page is available for access. You will notice there is two dropdown selection here(5), these two selection allows you to determine the what is the criteria/dimension for your framework that we will be filling up shortly. There are a total of 3 selections available, and you will be able to select them in both fields, or you may use just one field if only one criterion/dimension is required:

  1. Position
  2. Job Grade
  3. Job Category


Once you have selected your criteria/dimension, click on Filter (6) :


Step 4

After you have clicked on the Filter button (6), you will notice a drawer floating in from the right-hand side as shown below.


The display on (7) and (10) is based on the criteria/dimension that you have selected in (5), start by choosing from the list displayed (8) and click on the listing that you would like to set a target for, you may click on (9) to quickly select all.


Continue to the next tab (10), if you have selected more than 1 dimension. When you are done click on Submit (11).




Step 5

Once you have clicked on Submit (11), the drawer will automatically close, and your screen will display as below according to your previous selection. To start, click on the quick fill function located at (12), and select a rating to be used from the drop-down (13). Now all you have to do is just click on the space available in the empty rows below (14). Repeat this process until you filled up all the empty rows


When you are done filling up, click on Save (15) to finalize your changes.
