How to amend Carried Forward Leave Balance?

Example Scenario: Company A changed its Annual Leave policy where it allows its staff to have maximum carried forward leave for the year 2021 to be 10 days. However, some of the staff have the balance of leave carried forward more than 10 days.


How company A handles this situation?

Step 1 

On the left menu, go to Leave. Then, click Leave Summary

Step 2

You will be brought to a page as shown below. Start searching by your staff name

Step 3

Go to the previous year, 2020, and select Annual Leave type. Then, click Edit.

Step 4

Make changes in the Amendment column for it to be reflected in the Available column. Then, click Save.

  • To add leaves = Fill in numbers only
  • To minus leaves = Put negative sign (-) in front of the numbers

Step 5

Go to the current year, 2021. You are able to see the brought forward leave changed to 10 days.



Footnote: Available leave for the year 2020 is what will become the brought forward leave for the year 2021. Thus, any changes you have made in the available balance of leave in the year 2020 will be reflected in the brought forward leave for 2021.
