2. Leave Bring Forward Will Expire Within
In Worksy, leave taken/deduction priority follows this order:
1. BF with expired date
2. BF no expired
3. earn/adjustment with expired date
4. earn/adjustment no expired date
1. Leave Bring Forward Method
- By None = Nothing is brought forward
- Fixed Maximum day(s) = refer back to the Entitlement Table, where there is a column that says Maximum Bring Forward Days
- % From Balance = Decide how many % of leave balance to carry forward. For example, an employee has 12 days of leave, next year they will have 6 bring forward leave if you put in 50%.
To set your maximum carry forward, go to your left menu > Settings > Leave > Annual Leave, press edit, and press the Entitlements page
Click the pencil icon on the right side of the table.
You will be redirected to this page, and this is where you can set up individual entitlements for every employee.
Put the maximum amount of bring forward leave to the 4th column.
Note: If you set "zero" here, then your maximum bring forward is zero.

2. Leave Bring Forward Will Expire Within
The expiry date for brought-forward leave is calculated starting from 1 January of the following year.
If you set the validity to 180 days, the bring-forward leave will expire exactly 180 days after 1 January of that following year.

Example:
Leave Bring Forward: Fixed maximum day (Set in Step 2: Entitlements)
Expires Within: 180 days.

For CP AL leave, we set the maximum bring forward is 10 days (4th column).

We generated leave for all 2024, 2025, and 2026.
In 2024:
Available is 11 days.

In 2025:
The system brings forward a fixed maximum of 10 days to 2025.
As of 4 Dec 2025, the 10-day bring-forward leave has expired because it has exceeded 180 days, counted from 1 Jan 2025.
Available: 24.62 days

In 2026:
The system brings forward a fixed maximum of 10 days to 2026.
As of 4 Dec 2025, the brought-forward leave is still valid because it has not yet exceeded 180 days, counted from 1 Jan 2026.
