Carry Forward Negative Leave

This "Carry forward negative balance" allows employees to carry forward the negative (overutilized leave and time off) in Worksy.

Path: Setting > Leave > Leave Type or Time Off Type

If the setting is turned on, negative leave or time-off balances will be carried forward and deducted from the total entitlement.

This setting applies only to leave and time-off types.

It does not apply to unpaid or replacement leave, and unpaid or replacement time-off.

Leave summary for 2024

For testing, we applied a negative 3-day adjustment in the Leave Summary; the leave balance shows an overutilization of 1 day.

Leave History for 2025

With toggle on "Carry Forward Negative Leave Balance", 1 day of overutilized leave is brought forward to 2025.

Important Note:
Whenever you make any changes to the Leave Type settings, you must regenerate the leave entitlement to ensure the latest configurations are properly applied and reflected in the system.
