The Enable OT Break feature lets HR or Supervisors set this up in Worksy shift pattern, ensuring:
Employees have a proper rest period before and after shift worked.
No overtime recorded during the gap between shifts.
How the OT Break Feature Works
Early OT | hours the employee works before the shift. |
Early OT Break | mandatory gap before the shift starts. |
Shift | normal working hours (e.g. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM). |
Late OT Break | mandatory gap after the shift ends. |
Late OT | hours the employee works after the shift. |
Example
Early OT | 2 hour | 5:00 AM – 7:00 AM |
Early OT Break | 1 hour | 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM |
Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | |
Late OT Break | 1 hour | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM |
Late OT | 2 hour | 6:00 PM – :00 PM |
In this setup, the system blocks the break windows (7–8 AM and 5–6 PM) so employees cannot do OT there. Only the OT before and after the breaks is counted as payable.
